Fursdon is a traditional farming estate in the heart of the Devon countryside yet only half an hour from the city of Exeter. The Fursdon family has lived in the manor house for over 750 years. Within this historic house there are two award winning self-catering apartments, which are open throughout the year for relaxing holidays and short breaks. The family house, gardens and Coach Hall tea room are open for visits on publicised dates between Easter and the end of August and groups are welcome by arrangement. The self catering accommodation is on the first floor of the manor house, reached by walking through an ancient cobbled courtyard. We have taken great care to preserve the traditional feel of a country house but twenty first century comfort is important too!
The elegant and spacious Park Wing has spectacular views over traditional parkland and beyond to Dartmoor. The Garden Wing is almost like a self-contained cottage within a lovely walled garden.
